As an Engineer, you will research, design, develop, and test proprietary mechanical and thermal devices and systems. This role contributes to the entire machinery production cycle, from conception to installation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and surveys to develop technical plans for equipment and systems
  • Leverage computer-assisted design (CAD) to create Swisher-specific components and products
  • Build and test new devices and modifications to existing equipment
  • Oversee the installation of new systems or machinery
  • Evaluate the functionality of machinery and troubleshoot malfunctions
  • Modify and maintain products and all supporting processes
  • Document technical operations
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to allocate and track resources
  • Travel: 35-50%

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of related experience is required
  • Proficient with CAD Software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Mechanical and technical skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or related field
  • Proven working experience in mechanical engineering
  • Working experience with product lifecycle management (PLM), finite element analysis (FEA), and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
  • Hands-on experience with computer-aided engineering (CAM) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAE)
  • Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ProE, or other)
