As an Engineer, you will research, design, develop, and test proprietary mechanical and thermal devices and systems. This role contributes to the entire machinery production cycle, from conception to installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and surveys to develop technical plans for equipment and systems
- Leverage computer-assisted design (CAD) to create Swisher-specific components and products
- Build and test new devices and modifications to existing equipment
- Oversee the installation of new systems or machinery
- Evaluate the functionality of machinery and troubleshoot malfunctions
- Modify and maintain products and all supporting processes
- Document technical operations
- Collaborate with Project Managers to allocate and track resources
- Travel: 35-50%
Qualifications
- 2+ years of related experience is required
- Proficient with CAD Software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Mechanical and technical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in engineering or related field
- Proven working experience in mechanical engineering
- Working experience with product lifecycle management (PLM), finite element analysis (FEA), and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
- Hands-on experience with computer-aided engineering (CAM) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAE)
- Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ProE, or other)
