The Senior Consumer Insights Analyst is responsible for driving key business decisions through the expert collection, analysis, and interpretation of consumer research data. This role leads the development and execution of complex consumer research projects, analyzes advanced market trends, and translates data into actionable, strategic insights that enhance business performance and achieve long-term objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the collection, analysis, and integration of complex primary and secondary research data from diverse sources, including advanced consumer surveys, in-depth market research reports, and sophisticated syndicated data (e.g., Circana, Nielsen)
  • Apply advanced statistical modeling and analytical techniques to identify nuanced trends, patterns, and strategic insights that drive business growth
  • Design and develop advanced data dashboards and visualizations, providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership
  • Lead the design, execution, and analysis of complex primary research projects, including advanced survey development, sophisticated sampling methodologies, and in-depth data interpretation
  • Oversee quality assurance checks on complex programmed surveys, ensuring accuracy and reliability of data
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis, proactively identifying emerging trends, opportunities, and potential threats
  • Monitor and analyze industry developments and regulatory changes, providing strategic guidance on potential business impacts
  • Develop and maintain advanced competitive intelligence reports, providing actionable insights for strategic decision-making
  • Present complex research findings and strategic insights to senior leadership and cross-functional teams, influencing key business decisions
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations and reports that effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences
  • Support leadership in the execution of primary consumer and customer research studies throughout the project process: scope project suppliers and costs, develop research brief, design and program surveys, manage fielding logistics, clean data, analyze findings, and present results
  • Communicate and align with stakeholders throughout the project management process, including ensuring document review and approval protocols are adhered to

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Statistics, Economics, or a related field

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in consumer insights or advanced data analytics
  • 3+ years of experience in market research, with a focus on strategic analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment is critical
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to senior leadership
  • Deep understanding of consumer behavior and brand performance
  • Proven ability to identify and capitalize on business growth opportunities

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of market research experience (preferably in consumer packaged goods industry)
  • Experience with advanced statistical modeling techniques (e.g., regression analysis, factor analysis, cluster analysis)
  • Experience working with project management tools
