The Dry Line Attendant/Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment on a production line, ensuring the production of quality products according to specifications. They typically operate machinery, monitor gauges and readings, make adjustments, and follow safety and quality procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Changing Doctoring Blades at the end of the roll
- Removal and weighing of the mill roll from the sheet winder
- Maintaining mill roll records and responding to laboratory results to maintain product standards
- Transporting mill roll samples to the lab
- Observing gauges and making necessary adjustments to maintain product quality and consistency
- Ensuring products meet quality standards and specifications
- Adhering to safety regulations and procedures, including using personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Performing other duties as directed by Supervision
Qualifications
- Work schedule is Monday-Thursday, 7:00pm-7:00am
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to think independently while successfully functioning in a team environment, with a proven track record of contributing toward team goals
- Able to perform job tasks in sometimes dusty, hot, and/or cold working conditions
- Ability to follow procedures and maintain quality standards
- Collaboration with other team members
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
