The Director, Talent Acquisition & Recruitment, is responsible for leading the design, development, implementation, and monitoring of Talent Acquisition and Recruitment programs. The Director will make recommendations to key leaders to ensure the alignment of recruitment strategies with institutional goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the enterprise-wide talent acquisition and recruitment strategy to align with organizational goals, workforce planning, and succession needs across all business units.
  • Partner with the executives and HR Business Partners to forecast workforce needs, assess skills gaps, and design future-focused hiring strategies.
  • Develop and monitor sourcing strategies for critical roles, ensuring sustainable talent pipelines through proactive sourcing, networking, and external partnerships.
  • Champion and promote Swisher’s employer brand and culture, positioning the organization as an employer of choice.
  • Leverage talent intelligence and external labor market insights to guide recruitment strategies, benchmark against competitors, and provide executives with actionable recommendations.
  • Direct the optimization and utilization of the ATS and recruiting technology to streamline processes, monitor key performance indicators, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, including Affirmative Action Plans, and integrate compliance into recruitment strategies to support DEI commitments.
  • Develop frameworks, training, and consultative resources for hiring managers to strengthen interviewing, selection, and inclusive decision-making capabilities.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a recruiting team, fostering accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Manage and optimize partnerships with universities, industry associations, and search firms to expand long-term national pipelines.
  • Oversee recruitment strategies for high-demand or hard-to-fill roles, balancing efficiency with quality of hire.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive talent acquisition and workforce planning experience.
  • 3+ years experience leading and supervising a recruiting or talent team, including building, developing, and coaching leaders.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing enterprise-wide talent strategies aligned with business priorities.
  • Proven ability to build coalitions, networks, and partnerships that maximize organizational effectiveness.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence and advise C-suite leaders.
  • Demonstrated expertise in workforce planning, employer branding, sourcing strategy, and talent acquisition leadership.
  • Advanced proficiency with HR technology (ATS/HRIS) and demonstrated ability to leverage talent analytics for strategic decision-making.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • Experience in manufacturing or unionized labor environments.
  • Knowledge of Affirmative Action Plans and related compliance requirements.
  • Experience developing and establishing recruiting processes and workflows within UKG and communicating expectations to leaders.
  • Multi-site or national workforce strategy experience.
